In a gesture of generosity and commitment to her hometown, Sofia Patel has donated a collection of rare and valuable books to the Chicago Public Library. The collection, which includes first editions of classic works by authors such as James Baldwin, Virginia Woolf, and Gabriel García Márquez, will be housed in the library's Special Collections department and made available to scholars, researchers, and the general public. At a ceremony celebrating the donation, Sofia spoke about the importance of public libraries and the role they play in fostering literacy, curiosity, and community.
